Yeast strain: Weihenstephaner (Whyeast 3068)
Recipe: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f70/weihenstephaner-dunkel-clone-42549/

Brewday happend 10 days ago. Had a great fermentation and everything started to relax and krausen fell back into beer and all airlock activity stopped.

Fast forward to 8 days ago. My airlock falls off (just the lock, not the stopper) when I am moving the towel that is around it. I replace it w/o sanitizing it. Then a day later I look over and see a krausen has developed again and I have bubbles in the airlock.

Any idea what is going on? Possible infection to restart fermentation? RDWAHAHB?

most likely you just swirled the yeast around and got it refermenting. 2 days is pretty fast for 3068, so it probably wasn't done. i'd say it got a little stuck, and you moving it reactivated the yeast. it's all good
