I bottled my first original recipe brew on friday (2/25) and checked on it today. There is a large amount of yeast already in the bottom of each bottle. It was my first time using a bottling bucket (used mr beer prior) and I added 2.2 oz of priming sugar to a 2.2 gallon batch of brew. I am concerned with the large amount of yeast already in the bottle that I may be developing some bombs in my pantry. Any advice or prior experience would be greatly appreciated! I did not use a hydrometer, the brew was in the primary for 17 days.

sounds normal to me. Just wait about three weeks and try one out.

More yeast does not mean more carbonation. You will be fine, but maybe use a hydrometer next time for peace of mind.
