Has anyone made any wine from coffee grounds? I ran across a bunch of cool recipes on the www. Hopefully they're not a bunch of recipes for disaster...

How did your coffee wine turn out? It sounds pretty good. My wife had a white coffee wine brewed locally and she said it was pretty decent. Mine looks like mud but smells nice...

Oh yes, 5 gallon coffee wine going on here. I ground up nearly 3lbs of whole bean coffee in my coffee grinder in small batches. Brewed that in hot water in a large stainless pot in which I had dissolved my sweeteners. After it open fermented for about four days I racked it into a carboy, then shortly thereafter racked it again because I got too much grounds in the carboy. It's fermenting away currently, won't know the status for many months. Jackkruse website had the recipe I somewhat tried to follow.

I'm not that good to go large quantity yet! I'm only doing two gallons at a time. Just putting my toes in till I get use to the water! I hope yours turns out delicious! Let me know if it lightens up.
