Hi all,

We have been bottling our first years cider for a couple of weeks now.

We made in total about 250 litres of cider directly from our own pressed apples.

We had two different varities of apples, and blended the hard cider after fermentation to dry.

We back sweetened ever so slightly and bottled the first batch about four weeks ago. It all settled out nice and clear and tastes great.

The second batch, from the same apples and the same cider, blended in the same quantities and back sweetened to the same recipe, tastes just as nice, but is very cloudy.

Any suggestions as to what might have caused this? Also, what can I do next year to ensure all the cider is clear? Filter?

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.
