People are crazy. If you ever wanted to know what happens when you give sophisticated technology to primates, try to find an outboard motor on Craig's List.

Here's another good one:

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/boa/2042679250.html

He goes on and on about how great the 4 stroke motor is, says he's looking for bigger motor for bigger boat, then reveals he is willing to trade for similar HP 2 stroke...

And there's a freudian slip in there.... service vs servive...

This is a 2008 model Tohatsu short shaft 6hp 4 stroke motor. This is perfect for jon boats and dinghies. No oil to premix and no smoke!! This thing run quietly and purrs like a kitten. It was just servived and runs like it should for being 2 years old, like new! In fact it even has a warranty until October 2011 which can be transferred to the new owner. I am looking for a more powerful motor since I got a bigger boat, so this one needs to go. New they are around 1300-1400 bucks. This one is gone to the first person with 950. The model is mfs6bs. I don't have any pics, but you can view them on the website. This thing has a tiny scratch on the cowling which isn't even noticeable, trust me you won't be disappointed. Any questions please ask. I am firm on the price since it is fair. I buy on here a lot, and can appreciate a good deal as much as th next guy. I would only accept a trade on a 2 stroke 6hp motor. Other than that cash only no shipping.

He's trying to hard to sell that motor. Not to mention a lack of spelling. Advertising isn't for everyone I suppose.

Another doosey.

Registration expired in 1998 and I assume that was the last time it was in the water. It's been sitting on my neighbor yard for more than 10 years.Tilt doesn't work and steering is frozen somewhere between steering wheel and motor. 85 hp Johnson has 120 PSI on 3 and 65 psi on 1 cylinder. If you know how to free a piston rings please write me an email. It will start. Forward, neutral and reverse works. When running there is no water squirting from the engine and that's telling me that the water pump is not working. Very good looking stainless steel propeller.

I emailed the guy in post #8 to see what else he had around the shop, he told me he didn't have time for email and that 25 hp's are too rare for him to fool with.
