Nice easy drinking American Wheat beer
4# Wheat Malt
4# 6 Row
4 oz Acidulated Malt
1/2 # Table Sugar
1/2 oz Amarillo at 60 min
1 oz Amarillo at 10 min
1 oz Amarillo at 5 min

Strike with 2.5 gal at 165 rest for 60 min target a mash temp of 152
Sparge with 6 gal at 175
(You may need to adjust these amounts based on your boiloff rate)

Pitch Wlp001 and ferment for 14 days, carb to 2.7 volumes.

That's it scored a 43.5 with this recipe at Cask comp in Jax, brewed again replacing the bittering hops with Simcoes and scored a 33.5 at a dif. competition.

Hope you guys enjoy this recipe!

If it is about America and freedom, shouldn't there be some Victory grains and some Liberty hops? J/K

Actually I think a 1/4# of victory malt might be a great addition, I was toying around with that idea. Never used Liberty Hops.
