It's a brand new sack from Global Malt. Don't recall that smell before, other than from actual honey malt.

Light or dark munich? I always buy dark because I like the sweeter, more honey-like flavors.

Honey malt smells like munich, only exaggerated (and half a pound or so in 5 gallons does what people think 2 pounds of munich is going to do).
The honey malt is a little tart if you taste it, it doesn't smell vinegary to me.

I don't know. It's just identified as Munich.
Edit: It says "Typ Muncher Hells", which I assume means "light".
