I'm brewing an amber ale with Saaz hops for bittering and then Cascade for finishing. I'm thinking of adding some fruit flavor, but not sure if it'd be too overshadowed by the amber and the hoppiness. Is it possible to have a subtle fruit flavor in a hoppy amber? If so, what's a good fruit to go with? Any other flavor recommendations would be appreciated. I just want something to round the beer out.

Magic Hat #9 is basically an amber with apricot. You might want to look for clone recipes for that to see how it is hopped.

+1 for the Apricot. I think it is one of the best fruit flavorings in a beer. I am actually not a huge fan of fruit in beers and really don't like Apricots, but I find this flavoring to actually enhance the balance of beers.
