Advice on cleaning carboy

I am making wine for the first time. Been brewing beer for about 3 years.

Yesterday I racked my wine. There was some residue at the bottom after the initial rinse. I put in some warm water and Oxyclean. That nearly always works for beer stuff. Used my carboy cleaner attached to a cordless drill. Still it isn't budging. Figured it needed to soak longer, or perhaps the carboy cleaner didn't make contact with the bottom of the carboy.

Soaked it overnight again in Oxyclean. Got my old carboy brush out and tried that. No dice.

Can one of y'all identify the residue and give me cleaning advice? Clearly my beer experience isn't transferring. Thanks

The white stuff? Could it be some kind of carbonation? Have you tried vinegar?

Yep, the white stuff. Good suggestion on vinegar. I'll give that a try.

Try a faucet mounted bottle washer.

White vinegar is natures wonder cleaner. Mix it 50/50 (or a little stronger) with water and let it soak over night.

1. Put bottle washer on the faucet.
2. Turn on faucet.
3. Put on safety glasses. Be sure to line up with the bottle washer and really look at it.
4. Depress the trigger on the faucet.
