Just got a bunch of dirty ball locks and did something dumb. I took off all the posts/tubes disassembled to soak in cleaner and now cant really tell a difference in gas vs liquid. Anyone got a cheat sheet

Gas posts have little horizontal nicks in the base.

Getting the banned back together
Not all star shaped posts are gas, some are liquid side. The notches are the identifier.

Hmm I didn't know that! On one of my kegs the gas is star shaped, I figured that would apply across the board
