Is the shelf life of Toasted malt compromised by the toasting? I'm going to place a order for bulk grain and was going to get a few pounds of toasted. Would I be better off just toasting from my supply of 2-row or buy the toasted and use as needed.

Buy two row and toast it as needed. Toast a few pounds and place in brown paper bag for a week or two, then put it in a zip lock bag. It will last months till you mill it and mash it.

No need to toast and store it, just toast it the night before you brew, leave it on the cookie sheet over night and mill it and mash it. I've done it that way many times with no negative effects.
