low cost drip trays

How do you like my ultra-low profile, ultra low cost drip trays? They cost me $1.31 each at Home Depot.

They consist of one shower strainer and one KO test cap.

The strainer is about 1/8" too wide so I had to sand/melt a little indent on two sides to make it fit right.

Then added a little black spray paint and a little clear coat...

and there you have a super-cheap, fairly attractive top mount drip tray.

They don't work well if you want to rest a large mug or pitcher on them while filling since they are so small, but for under $1.50 a piece, you can't go wrong. I'm going to use a hole saw and drill out the top of my kegerator so I can flush mount these.
 
Not a Bad little invetion! I wish i could do that same thing ony about 4" wide and about 4' long! .. But i have a few ideas in the works.. ill have to post mine up when i get er done!
