I like to get wood when I've had a beer.

No that sounds wrong...

It's SWMBO who gets wood?

No, I do believe you have it correct...."I've got wood" is a used expression. :D, perhaps saying "I get wood when I drink beer" would be more proper :fro:

Here's my 2p.

If you are going to use a wood theme, use the woodgrain as the label background.

In this case cedar:

I'd orient the woodgrain up and down and not left to right as it is in this pic

Next, I'd de-emphasize alot of the white in your image. Use maybe a more antiquey white. Give it a little aged look.
Perhaps have the scroll have an accent color as the background.

I think the core of you image and logo are well thought out and executed and I like that you have a motto/signature mark.

I need to get one of those.

the white space does not print, and the label is usually printed on a off white card stock.. so got this covered.. thanks!

i agree with the wood grain though, i tried once and just didnt look right. I dont think i had the right type of picture... anyone got any sources for pictures of wood? (just kidding, dont send me gay porn)

Yeah, dig the theme! I live in DC, so my beers play on that: Home Rule Hefe, Voteless Weizenbock, Crack-addled mayor maibock. The possibilities are almost endless. Great job on the label, and i like olllllo's suggestions.
