pvc pipe and ball valves as co2 manifold

This may be a stupid question has anyone tried to make a c02 manifold out of pvc pipe and pvc ball fittings

I've seen them on aquarium websites, although I'm sure someone has used it for beer.

i cant see why not it is rated to a higher pressure than my regulator will output.

I remember back in the paintball days that people would use macro-line which is basically just pvc. Also we used to use cpvc for t-shirt cannons.

The macro line is rated for a much higher preassure.

Schedule 80 PVC (the thick grey stuff) is rated for 8 bar at least (if I recall correctly and our pipeline specifications at work are correct). Don't know about the white plumbing stuff, but unless I had something from the manufacturer of the actual pipe/fittings you were going to use I wouldn't be doing it. Compressed gas is a dangerous thing, thats why they hydrotest cylinders with water and not pressure test them with air.
