I am currently using one of the camco ripple elements in my setup. It can be removed easily once i'm finished brewing.

There is always some limescale and trub left on the element after the boil. Anybody have any suggestions for what to soak it in so this dirt will easily rinse off. Obviously i want to avoid anything that will cause corrosion.

I just recirculate hot PBW through my system for 30 minutes or so. Sometimes an acid rinse after using Acid#5.

I also dry fired it for 15 secs one day, it was like putting the old oven on self clean. I don't recommand it though
