I am looking at starting AG by the BIAB method
next week (once my missus has made me a biab bag!)
Can anyone suggest a good-bodied, simple amber ale recipe please. I am looking at making a 2.5 gallon batch as my kettle is only 7 gallons.
Thanks.

Here's a clone I did of Bell's Amber. I'll be making it this weekend!
80% Eff, 5.5 gallon batch
9lbs 2-row
1lb munich
1lb C40
1lb C90

1/2 oz cascade 60m
1/2 oz fuggles 60m
1/2 oz cascade 20m
1/2 oz fuggles 20m
1/2 oz cascade 1m
1/2 oz fuggles 1m

I use WLP090 but WLP001 or US-05 would work fine too.
OG 1.059, FG 1.015 mash around 154. 31 IBU

I really enjoyed this amber I brewed.

Grain -
9lbs Pale Malt
1lb Munich Malt
1lb Crystal 40 (I may have accidentally gotten 60 when I was at the LHBS)
1lb Crystal 80

Hop Schedule -
0.7oz Centennial First Wort Hop
0.6oz Centennial 20 minutes
0.2oz Centennial 5 minutes
o.5oz Centennial 0 minutes

Yeast -
Safale US-05

It ended up being very nice and one of my favorite brews.
