Hey guys I just brewed the Continental Pilsner from BB last night. Problem is... this doesn't look like a pilsner, at all. I followed the directions carefully so I don't know what the problem is.

Is it going to lighten to a straw color as it describes in the directions? Bad/old ingredients?

I'll be very disappointed if this doesn't turn out.

Boil complete... cooling in the sink filled with ice.

I don't think it's a "real" pilsner kit. Pilsners are lagers, and I believe that kit is an ale kit.

What are the ingredients? It's really hard to get a very light colored extract beer (extract darkens as it boils), but it should still be a drinkable beer.
