I've brewed a Belgian Golden Strong Ale a few months ago and I'm ready to bottle it. The recommended carb level for the recipe was 4 volumes.

I'm currently using Sierra Nevada bottles to put all my beer in. I've only carbed up to about 2.5 volumes in these bottles. Will they hold the recommended 4?

Should I go ahead and bottle at that carb level in the Sierra Nevada bottles? Lower the carb level? Or get belgian bottles?

I don't know much about how much a particular bottle will hold...

But I do believe if you are going to be using that much, you need to use a much stronger bottle (ie the bottles that you need to put corks in).

I know all of those recipes say super high carb levels for belgians, but I would never go above 3. At 4, it's going to be champagne exploding everywhere when you open the bottles...
