Would dry-hopping while cold crashing allow for additional dry-hoppin' time??

I have heard that a maximum of 10-14 days a beer should sit on hops. If you cold crashed a beer and then threw some hops in there could that time be extended to a month?

From what I've heard, dry hopping for too long will impart a "grassy" taste to your beer, which could be unfavorable depending on the style. I dont see how cold crashing would diminish this at all.
