I've got a PM Red Ale ready for dry hopping. The recipe calls for 1/2 oz of nugget and 1/2 oz of challenger...I have an extra oz of amarillo laying around that I'm thinking about adding. Has anyone tried a similar dry hop combination, or should I just stick with the nugget and challenger?

I love to make IPAs and I will often toss in a scrap hop or two. I myself have not found any issues with this. I have heard of people adding to much hops and getting a grassy taste. I try not to go over 2 ozs in a 5 gal. batch when I DH, but I think you will be fine with that mix.

Amarillo is great for dry hopping! I think you should try it. On time I dry hopped with 4oz and did not get any grassiness with it.
