Are U.S. Golding hops much different than East Kent Golding hops? Please let me know if anyone has experience with the differences in them.

This is a great hop! (EKG), but pricey. I have found the U.S. to be much cheaper than its UK cousin. Perhaps import $$?:ban:

Very subtle differences but probably not noticeable to most people. I can't tell the difference between most UK vs. US hops.

Same hop, different environment. East Kent is a small area, so the real thing is pricey.

I'm using US Golding in my English beers and have been happy w/ the results. I did get true UK Fuggle though. Both from hopsdirect for a pretty good price. There used to be a BC (British Columbia) Golding but they stopped producing them and the US version is whats available.

Fuggles is the same thing except they are not grown in a different region.
