So my JAOM is just now hitting 5 months, it was bottled still after sitting for probably 3 months in the fermenter(1 Gallon Water Jug)

My question is what SHOULD it taste like? I tried it and wow, the closest flavor i could think of when slowly sipping it(very potent) was almost like a cold flat Mtn Dew...there was definately quite a high ABV as just looking at it in a clear glass you can see the ripples in the liquid.

If its been made as per the recipe i.e. benchmark then usually sweet but with a hint of orange and maybe the spices. Even JAO improves with ageing.

The bread yeast often does about 12% ABV so not high alcohol but its young so you may have a little "alcohol hot" taste still there......

People generally enjoy it....
