Switched gears to my iipa. as the sun sets I'm still smoking ribs on the deck. Proper glass this time

For Pilsner Urquell, they have started distributing them in enclosed boxes now. If you are buying a single bottle, you're probably still screwed, but if you pick up a 12-pack it's not light exposed.

One thing I always do when I go buy bottles off the shelf in any store, is reach as far back as I can and pull the bottle that's sitting back in the shadows. I never grab the one sitting in front. It doesn't completely eliminate the problem, as I still occasionally get light-struck beers, particularly some of the UK beers since they always use clear glass bottles, but it really cut down on the frequency with which that has happened.

Went on a trading beer run to RI and hit the pay dirt. A bunch of stuff I can't get here in CT along with a couple that I can get here but have been wanting to try anyway. Currently enjoying the beer in the second pic while I wait for my samples to chill. Gotta make sure I am sending out good beer. ;)

I just tried that Larry while up in Boston for Christmas, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

My orange/coriander wheat, NB extract, 1.5 years old. Used chinnook/belgian cascade hops.Munich yeast. Fairly clean yeast fermenting it low, mild spicey, very slight clove maybe very slightly estery not enough to tell if its the yeast or spice or chinook bittering hops. Mildly bready. Turned out pretty good the orange really came out even though I didnt use a whole lot. Clean-sessionable,hit it about right. It is a clear light copper-med gold,thin-rich head that lasts and good carb.
Sorry no pic. Working on a camera worth a ****.

Shiner Farmhouse Ale. It's not the greatest Saison I've had, but it's okay.

Sadly, I'm drinking orange juice. I came down with a bad cold, and can't taste anything, so no beer for a while. That's ok though, I plan on buying a bunch of really good beer to celebrate when I get rid of whatever I got.

Hey Bottledude, do you ever drink beer? Or just look at beer porn and ejaculate wit out of your mouth? :cross:

Fo sho!! Have you had Supplication? Another great one, Vinnie's a genus.

That's a stellar picture, mate.

I'm drinking one of my Belgian Coriander Weiss beers... my picture pales in comparison.

This is the first- Ithaca regular I've ever had and it is damn good. I hope you haven't had this yet, Nordy, cause there's going to be one heading your way in our next trade.

This is one I've been curious about for a while but never had the cajones to risk having it fearing it might be an inferior brew. I always got distracted by more attractive beers. I must say I was mistaken. This actually a pretty good IPA. I detect quite a bit of Cascade and Amarillo character in there, so that's always a plus. Having a bottling date of 10/19/12 makes me wondering how much better it is fresh. I'll have to check out their other brews soon.

Ok, trying my first gluten free beer. Green's triple blonde, 8.5%, clear, dry and sweet like sparkling apple cider. I'm now burping champaign....hummmmm not sure if I'm gonna finish this one. It's down to the garage for another IPA.
