damn, I've been trying to clean out my grain bag from my Mini-mash kit. Hard as hell to get it 100% cleaned out.

Turn in inside out and put it in the washing machine with the dish towels. Or, the top rack of the dishwasher.

washing machine? the grains won't hurt it or clog anything will it?
Use disposable paint strainer bags. They are cheap and come in a couple sizes.

I just flip it inside out and use the sink sprayer to get most of the grains off. It ends up pretty clean, but I don't sweat every little speck either - since I only use it preboil.
Well, you dump out the grains that you can and rinse it out. Then it goes in the washing mashing, inside out is good to really get most of the stuff out.
No, it won't hurt the washing machine or dishwasher.
