Did some bottling last night, but added way too much DME for priming. I was making a 2 gallon batch to finish off some spare DME I has left over from a previous batch.

I had planned on using just under 1/2 cup of DME for priming, but I added 2/3 cup instead (too many homebrews before I started!)

I'm using 1 litre plastic bottles (screw-cap type soda bottles). Will this be a problem? Should I unscrew the caps to let-off some pressure?

Please help!

might be an issue. periodically check them and vent a little gas. also, you can stick them in the fridge (cold) when they are carbonated properly to stop the yeast from continuing.

Have you ever made a dry ice or No2 bomb with plastic 2 liter bottles?
It takes a lot of presure to blow them up. I think it may just come out over carbed.
