i know heat destroy magnets, can you boil the PTFE magnetic stir bars?

making a starter and have everything but have been dropping stir bar in after cooling as to not expose to high heat, but someone told me you can just boil them too.

can you?

well i did boil the bar after reading your replies and it worked when i put it on the stir plate, good enough for me! thanks!

I was reluctant to heat my bars, but my wife says at the pharmacy they've been autoclaving the same ones for years.

So now I just sterilize them in place in the flask with the pressure cooker. No apparent damage after a year. I would assume the heat has some negative impact and I'll have to replace them at some point.
