I know the water book keeps getting bumped back and the sours book isn't slated until 2015, but....who is working on the malt book for the brewing elements series? It would be invaluable to have a guide to the overwhelming variety of specialty malts we have available.

Bump!

Am interested as well. Has anyone any info on that Malt book?

No idea on the malt book..... but just got an e-mail that the water book is actually getting bumped "up." October now according to Amazon:)

The water book is out now, just made my purchase on amazon along with the hops and yeast books. Almost 1000 pages of brewing information coming my way... lol

From Diary of a Hophead interview in 3/24/13 with John Mallett of Bells:

"Mallett: The book I’m writing right now is on malt and malting. It’s part of a series the Brewers Association is putting out on the raw materials of beer. There’s one on water, there’s one on hops."
