I've played with this club for the last 10 years. Great club, great sport, great craic`. http://www.hurling.net

Like poetry, music, and dance, the ancient sport of hurling and the art of brewing are also a part of Ireland’s vibrant culture – so it seems only natural that the Milwaukee Hurling Club’s upcoming fundraiser, “Ales, Pales, Sticks & Stouts”, will feature at least two of these – music and beer!

Slated for Saturday, October 22 from 1-4 PM, the MHC’s fifth annual beer tasting event will take place at the freshly restored Hoyt Park Grand Hall, 1800 N. Swan Boulevard in Wauwatosa. Admission includes samplings from more than 50 varieties of ales, lagers, and porters from around the world; live music by local Celtic rockers Whiskey of the Damned and Atomic Whiskey Test. Admission also includes hearty autumnal soups, stews, and more, courtesy of McBob’s Pub & Grill and Slim McGinn’s West.

Tickets are $30 per person in advance and $35 at the door. The MHC is also offering a special Designated Driver ticket for $10. To purchase, simply visit the Club’s website at www.hurling.net and click on the Paypal-linked button on the top right of the home page.

Funds raised go to support Milwaukee Hurling Club equipment purchases and special programs, such as the learn-to-hurl workshops it offers to area youngsters in area parks and schools.
