When I was a kid we used to argue who got the heart
i can 't stomach the concept of eating a part of an animal a large function of which is to detoxify it.. just doesn't seem right.. i'll eat most other parts though (haven't tried heart, though i "may" be open to it)
How do you adequately clean them prior to grilling?

Of course this is a bit hippy dippy since I get my meats from grocery stores and butchers, but what can you do.
