Disclaimer: I have no experience painting, bondoing, sanding, really a whole lot of anything. So this was full of a lot of firsts. I am happy the way it turned out, I am still not done, but I'll post those pics when it is completed

We'll start at the beginning.....the kegerator I got off craigslist for $30

Put some wheels on it

Filled in the holes with some foam that way I could Bondo later

Sanded it down to remove some of the previous paint and also so I could Bondo over the old holes

There were two pretty big dents on the one top side so I decided that I would Bondo those while I was at it

I used the wire brush from a Dremel and took most of the grime off the top plate

I painted a coat of Kilz on the whole thing and then used Blackboard spray paint on the part above the taps

Next was paint! I used Rust-oleum (not the appliance paint one but another kind)

Final Product

It's hard to see the paint because it is so dark, but it turned out well

Nice bondo work, from no experience. The project turned out really cool! I dig the old school refrigerators.:rockin:

Thanks, it was pretty fun doing it since I had no clue and was mostly going with the attitude of "eh at least it will dispense beer" haha

Nice! I'd love to get an old fridge and restore it, but i don't know that I could stomach the energy consumption. A friend of mine had one, and whenever it kicked on he said he could just watch the meter spin out of control!
