I recently purchased an all-grain kit from a brick and morter store. They used beersmith to build my recipe on paper for me and upon looking at it rather than going by the recipe I read/was told... I am seeing that they listed White Wheat Malt rather than the suggested Red Wheat Malt.

Is there a sure fire way to tell the two apart? I've read that the Red is a bit stronger while the white is a bit more mellow and calm tasting...but that was a bread site.

Am I essentially making a normal wheat beer now if it is in fact a White Wheat Malt?

Can anyone tell me what the difference in style/flavor will be with a white wheat rather than a red wheat??
