Does it matter which way I twist the bines up my twine to get them started? Which way is correct? If I went the wrong way to start will they correct themselves or should I try to undo them and get them going the right way?
 
Your hops will follow the sun. If you get them started the wrong way I'm sure they'll correct themselves. To get them started on the right path they wind themselves clockwise around the twine.

Yes, I should have qualified that.

That said, if you're having to look up by the time you're training your hops on the twine, you've got more than a bit of work ahead of you. LOL
 
Isnt that kind of like how supposedly if you flush a toilet in Australia the water flushes counter clockwise ;)
 
Yeah, I was referring to the Coriolis effect, but apparently it's much simpler than that and doesn't require a mathematical formula... :mug:
