can i use old 2 Liter bottles and plastic soda bottles (20, 24, 1 liter) for bottling rootbeer? or do i need to use glass, cappable bottles like beer?

NEVER, and just to clarify, NEVER use glass to bottle rootbeer that will be carbonated by adding yeast. That is unless you like exploding glass shrapnel grenades!!! The used plastic soda bottles are perfect for this.

By using plastic bottles, you can gage the level of carbonation just by squeezing the bottle. This and the explosive possibilities of glass make plastic a much better choice for sodas of any sort.

hhhmmmm so it would be bad if I sent all my enemies a few cases each of glass bottled homemade pop...... :D Looks like I'll just have to extend my foot as a peace branch like normal.
