So I've decided to do a fun little project of upgrading current stir plate in a radio shack project box to something a little more bling'ed up! I want the ability to have two 2000ml starters going at the same time if the need calls.

Picked up one of these at Microcenter (in silver) - can control each side independently (even has temp monitors for each side if the needed - prob just hook up the probes for ambient temp for now)

And picked up two of these at Microcenter.

For the box, I would like something see through - plexi, acrylic, lexan, etc. Something similar to this , but still looking. Anyone have a good source for plexi/acrylic boxes?

That will be nice! You could always buy a sheet of plexi and build your own box to your specs.

I used a project box and replaced the top with plexiglass....

I've thought about that, but was hoping to find something prebuilt to same me some time. I may actually order the one linked to above on eBay. Even if it's not rigid enough, I'll find some use for it for the price.

I used a 10" acrylic square as a deck for my DIY stir plate:

The bolts support the load with this design. I didn't see a need to box it in when all that was needed was a simple support platform.
