So, I have a counter flow chiller (homemade). I have never had a problem using it, but I was being stupid and lazy and using a plastic racking cane to transfer the hot wort through the counter flow and into my carboys. My racking cane obviously would get too hot and warp and bend lol. So I went and got a stainless steel racking cane. The problem is I can never get a siphon started with it. I've tried several times and the only way I can get a siphon going is sucking on it. Is this a common problem with the stainless racking canes due to a different angle or something? I never had a problem siphoning until getting this ss cane.
