Testing alcohol content

With some of the recent concern about alcohol content, I am wondering if there is an easy way to test that.

I use Kombucha brewing in my microbiology classroom to demonstrate several concepts. But, if there is measurable alcohol, I could have a problem. I'd like to be able to just say it's tested and below 0.5%.

There will be measurable alcohol no matter what... there is yeast (or other fermenter) and sugar.

Grape juice you buy at the store will actually be ~0.5%

You can test the original and final gravity with a hydrometer to get abv%
