Anyone have a rolling rock clone recipe, extract/partial/all grain, it does not matter. TY in advance

North American Clone Brews, pg. 114

All-Grain (single step)

Mash at 152
5lb. lager malt
1lb. carapils malt
1lb. maize

Bring to boil add:

6 AAUs Hallertau Hops (60 minutes)
3 AAUs Hallertau Hops (10 minutes)

Pitch lager yeast

Ferment at 50 degrees for 2 weeks
Cold condition at 35 degrees for 4-6 weeks

thanks! will give it a shot!

oh what is the water to grain ratio? and is this a 5 gallon or 10 gallon batch?

awsome thanks for your help, really appreciate it!

bah, this is gonna make me sound like a noob, which I am! This is gonna be my first all grain... what does AAU stand for with the hops? I'm used to addin them in ounces

Alpha acid units. For bittering, if your hops are 6% AA, add one ounce. Add .5oz at 10 min. Adjust the amounts based on the AA of the hops you get.

then my hallertau hops are 3.5% so I add almost 2ounces at 60 and about 1 at 10 then correct?

Interesting. I would think a beer like rolling rock would have more corn. I wonder if Yuengling has the same amount or more? I've never actually used corn in any of my beers to date. I'm not knocking anybody's personal preference, but I'm just not corn's biggest fan.

nice, thanks guys. i ordered all my grains today, should be here for the weekend, and my first all grain brew. I'm glad my mash tun came out good as it did. quite easy to make actually and only cost me $33!
