I've got a built-in poplar shelf that has been partially finished with polyurathane. I'm wondering if I can, after a good sanding, finish it with a water based, urathane fortified finish, specifically Sickens Cetol BL. Will there be any issues between these two finishes? Both are clear natural finishes.
