Woohoo... Good on you for having patience!

You are now being rewarded ;)

Dito. I've been debating doing a wee heavy and would like to hear what recipe you used that turned out so very good.

Congrats on a great brew, enjoy it!

Wee Heavy -- Mini Mash

3 lbs. Maris Otter
1.5 lbs. Crystal 60L
.125 lb. Black Roasted Barley
.25 lb. Peated Malt

10 lbs. Amber Extract

1 oz. Northern Brewer -- Bittering
.5 oz. Fuggle -- Flavor
.5 oz. Fuggle -- Aroma

Scottish Ale 1728 # 0046 Wyeast

pitched a 3 liter starter ~ that brought the volume up to close to 5.5 gallons....

Primary @ 62 degrees (swamp cooler) for 30 days

Secondary for 95 days @ 65 ~ 70 degrees....

now I have some concerns about those 22 ounce bottles @ 10.8%!

Somehow I convinced myself that this was all grain without reason, (don't ask) but I'll keep this one in my recipe book. Thanks for posting the ingredients, and once again, enjoy your brew!

It's a cool, but muggy day here in N.C. so I decided to "sneak" a taste of the wee heavy (after my brown ale not carbing up i had some concerns) and was ecstatic that it's got a good amount of carbonation w/o the addition of any additional yeast... and man the taste and aroma is out of this world.... and 12 oz. is just right for lunch!
