My first full boil. Boiling all 5 gallons. Do i need to do anything diferent than I would with a partial? THanks here's the recipe.: Honey Porter

6lbs Dark LME - 60 min
2lbs. Clover honey 5-10 min.
1 oz Kent Golding - 60 min
1 oz cascade - 2 min
London Ale yeast wyest

Sp. Grains
8oz Carapils
8oz Chocolate malt

i wouldn't do chocolate and dark lme, but that's just my taste. i think you'll end up with bitter sweet chocolate, not really a porter. just mho, and there are many people here who can evaluate it better, as i have no real experience with lme

Hop utilization increases as you increase your boil size, so your beer will be hoppier. If you're brewing a Honey Porter, you probably don't want much hops. I'd only add a half an ounce of Kent Goldings at 60 minutes. Alternatively, I might add the full ounce, but wait until 45 minutes.
