I've always loved this song......Just lately though, it is the only song in my head. RIP Warren. You were genius.

It's ok. I don't think I have quite the hardon for it that you do, but I enjoy listening to it every once in a while (the song, not your hardon).

This thread is funny. I was thinking of starting one titled "Songs I have no idea how they ever became a hit". This idea came to me after hearing Kim Carnes "She has Bette Davis Eyes" on the radio the other day.

That song is ok. I heard Procal Harem's Whiter Shade of Pale the other day on the way home from work (same time I heard the above). Love that song. Great lyrics, vocals, bass and organ.

Dude I actually heard an Adam Sandler cover of that Warren Zevon song. He tore it up!! Really good song though, and it's funny that you posted this as that song just got finished playing on the station here at work.

Good song, but the title for "Best. Song. Ever." goes to.......

Baba O'Riley! Congratulations!

Yes, Bobby brown, I'm talking to you!

Sorry LGI, but you got me started on some of my favorites. Love this song too, not sure why they didn't make it bigger, singer had a cool look and aditude. Looks like they were making fun of having to do an overdub though. This song is said to be one of if not the shortest hit.

Include me in the many many who have had a Pina Colada at Trader Vic's as an homage to that song. And yes, my hair was perfect.

Cool video for the song, but I never heard that song even once. Song is ok, but I like words and vocals. I do like instrumentals though, just not my top songs.

To me though my tastes change over time and as I age. I used to own Foreigner albums but will change the station now if they come on.

Great song LGI! I hate whomever that asswhacker was who made that lame country song remix crap with the same melody. Made me want to hit something every time I heard it.

i thought that was kid rock, mixing that song and another.... sweet home alabama?

the pogues are constantly stuck in my head...

i like the wicked tin whistle in this one, and am requesting this song be played at my wake.

I LOVE Zevon! He was such a good song writer. My favorite of all time is Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner.

I'm a huge Zevon fan myself, and unfortunately, Werewolves is one of the only songs that gets played on the radio. He has SO MANY better songs !!!
His version of Knocking On Heaven's Door sends chills down my spine, knowing that he recorded it while he was dying.
You fellow Zevon fans need to read I'll Sleep When I'm Dead, his biography written by his ex-wife, with help from some of his friends. A great book !
