So, This is bugging me. I think I know the answer but I wanna make sure.
I did an AG nut brown ale this week and the recipe had flaked oats in it.
Was I supposed to mill the oats? I didn't....

You did good Mongrat, the oats have already been rolled through hot rollers that flatten them and makes the sugars in them accessible to the enzymes in your wort. So no worries!

I don't have any flaked outs. Thought I did but didn't check. Can I use quick oats?

Yes. Quick oats are perfect. You can use instant, too. You can use the regular old-fashioned oats, but you have to cook them first or do a cereal mash with them. My preference is Quick Oats- just toss them in the mash. Unless you want to toast them first.

Nope your fine, also next time you could use Oat Malt and crush it with the rest of your grains instead of flaked oats!
