Just took a sample after 9 days of fermentation. Smells amazing.

But....

I tasted it and it seems like "watered" down beer.

Will this change with time or do I have a problem.

Will probably be fine with more time. One thing I did find on my first batch or two was that when I did partial boils, the beer tasted more watered down. Just something to think about in the future.
 
It will have much more character once it has had proper time to age and becomes carbonated. It will be a completely different beer! There's nothing wrong with 'testing' your beer as it goes through the process, as long as you are sanitary and you aren't opening the fermenter every hour. Go make another batch so you can leave this one alone!
