I have recently started doing late extract additions on my partial boils and and happy with the results. I will soon be moving to doing full boils and was wondering if there is any advantage to doing late additions with full boils.

Definitely - you'll end up with a slightly lighter color.

The lower gravity boil gives better utilization. They say to adjust it for the actual end volume. I don't,& it works great.

Out of curiosity what are you planning on doing for late additions? I just started full boils myself and would like to try something different.

Maybe add half the extract at 60 min, and then the other half at 30 or 15 min?

For my past few batches I have been doing 3 gal boils and have been adding 1/2 the extract at the beginning and the second half at 15min. I have been quite happy with the way this has been turning out.
