Oxy caps?

Noob her, working on my first batch.

I am wondering if oxy caps are worth the extra cost?

The local homebrew shop has them, says they absorb oxygen and that they reduce off flavors from oxygenation.. also help the beer last longer.

Are they really that much better then the normal ones?
 
for high grav beers (meads wines also) that will be stored long term. don't bother for most styles -you'll polish off the batch before they'd ever stale on you.
