The bubbles stopped last Saturday. No action since then. Only doing single fermentation in plastic fermenter for my first batch. So my questions are:

What should my beer smell like at this point? (definitly smells like beer at this point around airlock) Is this a good sign that I might have a drinkable, uninfected 1st brew?

Is it to soon to bottle this Saturday only a week later?

:mug:

I'd let er sit one more week, then bottle it if the gravity has not changed for 3 consecutive days. Take a gravity reading. Beer smells like beer.

Yes, it's fine.

No, don't bottle.

Wait another week. At least. A couple weeks on primary will do it WONDERS if you don't do secondary.

If you have a hydrometer, take a reading now, and wait 3 days, and take a reading again. Even if they are the same, wait a week. 1 week before bottling will not taste nearly as good as 2 weeks before bottling, which will taste like crap compared to 3 weeks before bottling.

Let it sit...Brew another batch of something and keep the pipeline going...You will be surprised at how soon it vanishes...TRUST ME...lol...Kegging is the way to go...
