I am looking to add a thermometer to my igloo MLT this weekend. Are there any tricks when drilling into an igloo cooler? Not sure what to expect. I will be using a Thermomabob to attach the thermometer.

Thanks

my tip would be to use a 1/16" pilot bit to drill through, then use a paddle bit to drill one side of the plastic then the other. A thermo prob needs a smaller hole that a ball valce so use the same principle with the standard bit side you need but drill into the piolt hole from each side.

since its a small hole id just use a normal drill bit. just keep it level. if your making a bigger hole use a forstner

you will get the cleanest hole.

ok looks like i cant link images
