My stupid question of the day...East Clean and Star-San - Same purpose?

No, one is for cleaning all the crud off, the other is a sanitizer. They do different jobs, tho both are important.

What Rick said, Easy-Clean (and One-Step) are often passed off as sanitizers, and may well do the job, but IMHO, technically they are cleaners, whereas Star-San is 'only' a sanitizer.
