I love amber ales. Their ability to please the snobbiest of drinkers and bmc converts alike is amazing..


so here is my first recipe, nothing special.. just your everyday amber...

+1 on cutting down on the crystal, IMHO 1lb max per 5gal. Also do you have a more neutral bittering hop? mabey save that cascade for some of Ed's Pale Ale:D

I agree, I'd back off to 2oz but I wouldn't ditch it completely. If you have to make up for color, a little more 40L.
