Ok so I'm putting a whole slew of ball valves on a set up I'm working on and for the life of me I cannot get the valves to the proper orientation. I would like the handle to be on the top so the valve will open left to right.

The problem is that I end up with the handle going at a 45 degree or a 90 degree angle. What am I doing wrong and how do I solve this issue.

Thanks in advance.

You should be able to tighten the valve another turn after it is tight enough to be leak free.

With enough teflon tape, you should be able to snug the valve up in the orientation you want. Test for leaks, add a turn if needed.
